#4 Steve Jobs’ 2005 Standford Commencement Address

Recently, I had a lot of anxiety about my career and life.  I will become a graduate next June so I start preparing for my job via applying for an internship, getting certificates, improving English, and having expertise. But it is not going well and I was dampered confidence by failure.

After watching Steve Jobs’ 2005 Standford Commencement Address, I was inspired by his story and gain different aspects about my life.

The points below are my favorite aspects from his address:

1. Having the courage to follow your heart, not the unspoken rules of society and other people thinking.

2. Living each day as if it was your last.

Just like Job Steve said, your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. Although I decide to work in financial institution after graduation, I realistically prefer cosmetic industry to financial industry. But it is true that you can earn more money in financial industry. And I desire my life without worrying about money. So I make a decision. I will try to work in financial institution for a while. If the job is not suitable for me, I will quit a job decisively and turn to work in cosmetic industry. 

“Living each day as if it was your last”——this quote is my life motto. I have a glaucoma and I need to apply eye drop to control intraocular pressure. It's unpredictable that my sight will be stolen in someday. So I choose to make my everyday more delightful and valuable. Hope to go abroad someday and see more beautiful scenery.

Life is short, listen to your own inner voice, chase what you love.
